“The community approach is relevant to all communities” (Chung & Bemak, 2012).
Truthfully, this assignment had a serendipitous quality, and I will share more about such later. My answers, on the other hand, were fascinating. Some statements were energizing, while others were activating. The answers, in particular, may stem from a sense of identifying with underserved and lower socio-economic status areas, particularly in the Los Angeles area. In particular, I attribute the reason for my enthusiasm for this week’s reflection to the memories of my upbringing in those environments.
